Here are some helpful hints to get you started as a valued member of our club. You'll also find lots of useful information in our Warriors Family Handbook.
Your checklist to getting started at Warriors
- Get to know the basic rules with this 4-min video (there are some slight variations on this, but it gives you the essence), or if you like the detail, read the full FINA rulebook (45 pages).
- Check out information about the Brisbane summer competition.
- Register as a free club volunteer yourself, to make it easier to get involved and stay up to date. Complete the table officials course online or extend your online learning to develop as a referee or coach. These step-by-step instructions will help you access the courses.
- To help out on table or as a volunteer, you'll also need a blue card. If you have one already, please let us know so we can link you to the club or you can apply/renew for free as a volunteer for Warriors. Just let us know once you do and we'll link you up!
- Grab yourself some club gear – togs, shirts, or supporter gear. While nothing is compulsory, it’s super-cool to show pride in your club. You can try gear on before training at Clem Jones if you are not sure of sizing.
- Join us on social media to keep up with the latest happenings! Definitely join our 'Warriors Water Polo Community' on Facebook, and follow our public Facebook and Insta accounts too.
- Talk to us about getting involved: Every team needs a good manager and there are plenty of other ways to help out each season: we have lots of important tasks that are pivotal to keep our teams in the pool, so please ask.
