Carina Leagues Warriors Water Polo Club is a not-for-profit community sports organisation.
Warriors Water Polo Club supports junior and senior teams across all age groups. Competition starts for both girls and boys from the ages of 12 and under, through to 18 years of age and open seniors' competitons. The club also runs an introductory water polo program for younger children, Give-It-A-Go, which is held every term throughout the year, at our home pool at the Clem Jones Centre in Carina. Warriors also provides valuable opportunities for adult players through our Mens and Womens Open and Social teams.
While the club is community-focused, Warriors also endeavours to provide effective development pathways for young athletes who would like to achieve representative outcomes and progress to elite levels, including selection into Warriors' Premier League teams.
Warriors is operated by a volunteer management committee which meets regularly. It operates as an incorporated association and is registered as a business (ABN 85 933 766 263). Volunteers are vital to community sporting organisations and play a valued and integral part of our club as team managers to support our team coaches. There are many other opportunities for families to contribute to the club by way of volunteering for fundraising events, supporting the committee directly and even coaching our teams. We will never say no to a willing helping hand!
The club is located at Clem Jones Centre, 56 Zahel St, Carina.
The summer season runs during school terms 4 and 1 on Saturdays for Juniors and evening weekdays for Seniors, excluding school holidays. Warriors also seeks to enter teams into the annual Queensland State Titles and the Australian Youth Championships as we know that tournaments are great development opportunities and form some of the best memories of childhood sport.
At Warriors, we cater for everyone!
